Feeling A Bit Under the Weather

>> Wednesday, February 23, 2011

I thought I would come up for air and say that I am feeling a bit under the weather. Yes, it is cold season and our family this winter seems to be getting the latest, most new cold passing through. This latest one I just feel like crawling in bed with a good book and a tea but I need to keep going because my family does. I am very thankful being able to take the Rose Hip Syrup I made in the December. Nursing my cold with herbal teas, apple cider tonic, and earl grey green tea. Yesterday I made a big pot of chicken soup and a batch of whole wheat bread that should last a couple days. At this point I don't know if I will be posting a simple pleasure and Friday Farm Girl's posts or not. I guess time will tell. But I do hope to get some blog visiting in here and there. Hope you all are in good health.

Oh sweet friend, I am sorry to hear this. We have been hit again, too. *sigh* Trevor had a fever on Sunday night, while I was in severe GI distress, which is still causing me some troubles and tiredness. I spent the day in bed on Monday. If I may be so bold, might you do the same, if that is what you body is calling for? Your dear little sons can manage one day. I admit it is hard to slow down. And right now I am paying for the luxury with a messy home, but it will all get sorted by and by. Be gentle with yourself, dear lady. There, end of lecture. (((hugs))) Jenn

Praying for you, Mary. It's so hard to keep going isn't it?

If you don't mind as you read this say a little prayer for me, too. I'm having trouble with my asthma.

Blessings!

Mary,

Oh no! Don't tell me that the flu bug has caught-up with your family too!
:( I keep reading about some other blog friends of mine, and how their families are getting these nasty viruses, ugh!

At any rate, I hope you and your family will get well soon. Try not to work too hard now, and visit my blog when you are feeling better. I'll keep you in my prayers. :)

Blessings,

-Lady Rose

So sorry you're not feeling well. I hope that you get 100% soon. What every happened with your daughter in law from the snowboarding accident? I haven't heard anything since, just wondering. :)

About Essie...she is doing great. She has all her memory of before and after the accident. As far as I can tell all her bruising is better and she went snowboarding again last Tuesday. We had a nice day with Philip and Essie yesterday. Alls well that ends well. [0=

Thank you for asking.

Hi Mary,
I'm sorry to hear that you are not feeling well. It sounds like you are doing all the things one should do when sick - homemade chicken broth soup, herbal teas, rest...and your friends praying for you to get better. Take it easy - you overdo yourself most of the time anyways! Your busy season is coming up (all that gardening) so now's the time to pamper yourself and give yourself just a little bit of extra time sipping tea, staying warm, etc..
Love,
Antoinette

I missed you at Simple Pleasures. I kept checking to see if you had gotten the strength to post something.

So... we'll let this week's simple pleasure be the ability to REST and recover in His time.

Hope you are much better soon. You treat a cold/flu much the same way that you do.

Hugs to you.
