Sow your seed in the morning, and at evening let your hands not be idle, for you do not know which will succeed, whether this or that, or whether both will do equally well. ~ Ecclesiastes 11:6,

I saw this neat challenge over at my friend Lori's blog. Now for years we have tried to buy in bulk and store food. But this is a bit more organised and it intrigued my hubby and I. I showed it to Handsome last night and we decided to take the challenge. I am thankful we have certain things already stored up but this will help us fill in the blanks and get organised. *grin* I forgot to ask hubby if we are going to try the 3 month or 6 month storage. I would assume for now we are going to try for 3 month storage. I will be posting the planning after I sit down with hubby.
Mary, This is great! I admit, when I first read Lori's post, I joined right up, then read the first month's assignment, then gulped. But hubby said "go for it" when I explained everything to him. So I'm jumping in with you all, too! :)
How fun that you will be joining us to begin this new challenge. I must tell you, that I also have been purchasing in bulk, but for some reason, I don't have a written down plan.
Lori has done an amazing job in putting all of this together for us.
Looks interesting. I am considering it. It's a fantastic idea.
I have recently begun ordering bulk foods through a co-op and I'm really liking having goods on hand again. My hang-up is having the house for sale and not wanting to have to move food that we've stored. Need prayer on that.
Hope you are cozy warm and enjoying hot water in your house :)
I pray as you take on this wonderful task. I've been doing this already and just recently made a more focused approach. I'd love to join in the meme but with my 90-day Bible Reading and my daughter graduating in May, I'm book solid in taking on extra right now. I hope to glean from everyone :)
So glad you are joining us! I could use some of your wisdom! I know you put food by ( as my grandma would say!) and have awesome things to share. I am going to do a post on the yo yos. It is something I can keep with me and work on. As far as being organized....it seems a never ending process. But I am working on the areas I have control over and trying not to stress over the other areas...like all the mess and space the wood takes up in my foyer! Or the constant moveable mess in the room we work out of for the food pantry. ( and much more!)If I can be content with my crafting ( however small) It gives me peace to be able to be doing...if that makes sense. It is treasured time to me! Pray many blessings on your day!
First , I am a daughter of the King almighty and a wife to my Handsome of 20 years. A mom of 4 on the go boys. I grew up in the States but married my Canadian sweetheart and moved up north. We live in the southern part of BC, Canada on our homestead. We have homeschooled our four boys from birth and plan to go the distance till all four graduate from our little homeschool. I teach with a Charlotte Mason style and I love to craft! We have been on a journey of being apart of building "The House that God Built". I know God has a lot more instore for us and we just need to follow where our Lord takes us.
