He Hath Heard My Voice
>> Tuesday, February 15, 2011
Our family was not able to make it to church on Sunday because our road (which is on a steep hill) was a sheet of ice. After we attempted and thankfully parked our car and we went home. I prayed for what our family would study together that morning. And the Lord gave me a verse...
Psalm 116
1I love the LORD, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications.
2Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.
I was very encouraged that day as our family started a bible study together. We are using Understanding The Bible~ A Biblical Survey. It covers from Genesis to Revelations. I love how the verse the Lord gave and saw how he lead our family that day. It also spoke to my heart that my Lord has not forgotten me and knows what I need. I love how the Lord never turns His back on us even when we might feel that He is distant. He isn't but what it means I need to put all that doesn't matter aside and to gather at His feet and and pray all the more fervently and gather close to Him.

Oh Sweet Friend...this is so true. He never forgets any of us that He loves so much!
I am so glad that you were able to have such a sweet time of fellowship. May Our Lord continues to guide you and yours towards a deeper understanding of Him!
Love,
Maria.
Family Bible studies are rich for us; we love having them together, sharing, asking, listening, answering. God is so good to listen and hear; He knows our hearts!
Love,
Christine
Mary,
You have given me a great reminder today - that the Lord never leaves us, but is always there for us. I think I already "knew" this, but it's good to be reminded anyway. :)

Sounds like a great way to spend the Lord's day and the devotional sounds good too. (((hugs)))
needed to hear this...so good, thank you.
We did this study last year. It is good to stay home and enjoy the word as a family. ( especially if saftey is involved!) Oh its been a long winter...but spring will be all the sweeter this year.
Hi Mary,
I'm sorry it's been a while since I visited last. I have some kind of hick-up with my pc that won't let me leave comments(on anything but HSB), I think it's my browser. But, for now, I've borrowed Rachels and I wanted to come by and say hi.
I am glad that you had a wonderful time with your family on Sunday. I'm also glad that you stayed safe!
Your friend,
Antoinette
